Quick verdict: It's a cold, wind-shifting November sit in northern Michigan. The bow in my lap isn't the priciest one I own. It's the PSE Stinger ATK in right-hand 60 lb black.

Editor's Verdict
— jakemorrisonI drew this cold and seated, the way it actually happens in a stand. At 60 lb the S6 cam rolls over honest, not glassy. The 7 inch brace makes my form mistakes cheaper, and that forgiveness matters more than a few fps.
My honest gripe is noise. Bare, it's louder and buzzier than my flagship. I'd add string silencers and a stabilizer before opening day.
Speed is real but not the 316 fps on the box. That's a lab number at 70 lb and a light arrow.
My hunting arrow at 60 lb and a 28 inch draw lands well under that. It still stacks plenty of energy for whitetail inside normal bow range.
Here's the part nobody wants to hear: at hunting distance, the accuracy ceiling is the shooter, not this bow. Build the rest of the rig around a matched rest, sight, and hunting arrows.
Overview
ATK means adjustable and tunable, built on a machined riser with integrated accessory mounting. The S6 cam drives the numbers: about 31.5 inch axle-to-axle, a 7 inch brace, up to 316 fps IBO class, roughly 3.8 lb mass, and 70 to 80 percent let-off.
Draw length adjusts by module, often without a bow press, across roughly 21.5 to 30 inches. Poundage stays fixed at 60 lb on ASIN B0GNK4B7N2. Set your module to your measured draw length first.
Next to the Mach and Nock On line, the Stinger ATK trades limb quality, cam smoothness, and dampening for a much lower price. The flagship also wins on resale prestige and top-end tunability.
What the value tier keeps is what most hunters actually use: speed class, wide draw-length range, and PSE fit and warranty. For whitetail, that's a fair trade.
Buy the fixed 60 lb if you pull around 60 lb and want hunt-and-target versatility at a value price. Choose a fully adjustable Stinger ATK package if you need to grow into weight or share the bow with a lighter shooter.
Step up to a PSE flagship if you want top speed, smoothness, and dampening. Cross-shop the Bear Cruzer G4, Bear Species XT, or Diamond Edge 320 if you want an adjustable ready-to-hunt kit with accessories in the box.
New adult archers on a tight budget: this is enough bow to learn and hunt for years. Confirm your pull weight before you buy. PSE also publishes full specs on the PSE Archery site.

How We Research
Summary: We verify listing specs, check owner feedback across Amazon and forums, and compare against bows and accessories we have already reviewed on Bow Advice.
Phase 1
We match manufacturer claims to the listing, confirm hand, draw weight, and compatibility notes, and flag anything that would block a safe first setup.
Phase 2
We read recent Amazon reviews and archery forum threads for repeat praise, repeat complaints, and gaps between marketing copy and real-world use.
Phase 3
We compare price, included accessories, and upgrade path against close competitors so the recommendation reflects value—not just brand loyalty.

Buyers praise the value and wide draw-length adjustability. Most are happy with the speed for the price, and grip and finish get steady nods.
The recurring friction is fixed poundage and bow-only sticker shock. Several shooters expected a ready-to-shoot kit, then spent more on accessories.
I won't invent star counts, but the pattern is clear: happy on value, surprised by what's not in the box.
Common praise
Common complaints
Forum talk splits on one line: buy the Stinger ATK now, or save for a flagship. Whitetail hunters at 60 lb generally report clean kills and no regrets.
The most useful community insight I keep seeing: for a first real bow, the Stinger ATK does the job. The money you'd spend chasing flagship smoothness is better spent on arrows and range time. First-bow shoppers also weigh it against the Bear Cruzer, covered in our deer hunting bow guide.

Check price on Amazon →It's PSE's value-tier compound on the ATK platform with the S6 cam, wide adjustable draw length, and speed in the 316 fps IBO class. This listing is right-hand, 60 lb fixed, black.
Roughly 31.5 inch axle-to-axle, a 7 inch brace, about 3.8 lb mass, and draw length near 21.5 to 30 inches. Draw weight is fixed at 60 lb on this ASIN, up to 316 fps IBO, S6 cam, 70 to 80 percent let-off.
ATK stands for adjustable and tunable. Draw length adjusts roughly 21.5 to 30 inches via modules, often without a bow press. Poundage on this listing stays at 60 lb.
Up to 316 fps IBO under lab conditions: 70 lb, 30 inch draw, light arrow. A hunting arrow at 60 lb and your real draw length flies slower. Budget real-world speed, not the headline.
Value tier. It keeps PSE speed class and draw-length flexibility at a lower price than the Mach and Nock On lines, with tradeoffs in limb quality, dampening, and cam polish.
This ASIN is likely bow only or lightly accessorized, so confirm the listing. Plan to buy a rest, sight, peep, arrows, release, and quiver before you hunt or shoot seriously.
Buy fixed 60 lb if you pull around 60 lb and want the lowest price on this platform. Choose a fully adjustable Stinger ATK package if you need to back weight down or share the bow with a lighter shooter.
You pull around 60 lb, want value-tier PSE for whitetail and range work, and will budget accessories separately. It's a genuine PSE platform at a price that leaves money for arrows and a tune.
Lighter shooter or shared household: go with a fully adjustable Stinger ATK package.
Want flagship cam smoothness and dampening: the PSE Mach or Nock On line. Want accessories in the box: the Bear Cruzer G4 or Bear Species XT.
Want similar adjustability from another brand: the Diamond Edge 320.
